When you become a member of Diamond Resorts International, you gain access to Diamond Resorts properties through Hilton’s new Hilton Vacation Club. Diamond Resorts offers three types of ownership: The Club, Diamond trust points, and deeded week ownership. The Club is a points-based ownership system that allows you to reserve nights and weeks at Diamond-owned timeshare resorts and affiliated resorts. Trust points allow you to make reservations at any resort within a specific regional collection. Deeded week ownership confers usage rights during a specific week during each year. Points are not available to deeded week owners.

With a Diamond Resorts timeshare, you can save thousands of dollars over a lifetime of vacations. Think of it as locking in tomorrow’s vacations at today’s prices, without having to worry about things like inflation or missing a year’s vacation. That said, the price of a Diamond Resorts timeshare varies widely, from several thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollars for a deeded interest.

However, there is a way to save thousands of dollars on the initial cost of your Diamond Resorts timeshare, too. By shopping on the resale market, you can buy Diamond timeshares for sale at a fraction of the cost of buying retail. But don’t forget, annual fees and dues are required whether you buy on the resale market or directly from Diamond.

It depends! If you’re the type who likes to go on vacation every year, and if you have the kind of lifestyle that allows you to travel, a Diamond Resorts timeshare is a great value. However, if you’re more of a homebody, or the demands of your home or work life prevent you from traveling, a Diamond Resorts timeshare may not be right for you.

Although Diamond Resorts is now a brand and subsidiary of Hilton Grand Vacations, Diamond owners cannot automatically access resorts in the HGV portfolio. As a Diamond Resorts owner, your membership includes access to Diamond-owned and -affiliated resorts only, through the Hilton Vacation Club portfolio. However, if you want to upgrade your membership to include access to HGV locations, there is a way: HGV Max. This membership program allows Diamond Resorts members to access both Hilton Vacation Club and Hilton Grand Vacations properties, but it should be noted that it comes at an upcharge.
